Care Plus, on completion of its 16th year of service, organised a Donors’ Meet on 19th October 2019 at the Regional Cancer Centre, Trivandrum. The palliative home care service, for deserving cancer patients, by the Care Plus medical teams is entirely financed by the valuable contributions of our benevolent donors. Hence it was an occasion to bring together our esteemed donors, to appraise them about the progress and full range of activities of Care Plus over the last 16 years, on the palliative care of patients and various other welfare activities to patients’ families. Some of the cancer patients under the umbrella of Care Plus, who could make it to RCC were also invited to join the occasion to make it a Donor- Beneficiary interface. The event was inaugurated by Dr Rekha A. Nair, Director, RCC who expressed appreciation on the humanitarian activities of Care Plus. Several of the esteemed donors also expressed their appreciation on the Care Plus working, assuring their continued support and also generated some new ideas to further improve the Care Plus activities. The event was attended by a large number of donors and it was useful for the Donors to meet their beneficiaries and have a firsthand information about the patients they support.
